About TiomanTioman is the largest in a volcanic group of islands off the East Coast of Peninsular Malaysia called the Seri Buat Archipelago. Tioman's natural beauty is its biggest attraction. Its lush emerald tropical jungle, covering about 12,000 hectares of the island, and its pristine mountain streams and waterfalls are home to dozens of protected species of exotic mammals, birds and flowers.
Tioman's spectacular and unmistakable profile is provided by Gunung Kajang. Towering over 1038 meters high, this oft cloud-shrouded extinct volcano is not only Tioman's highest mountain, but it's also the highest mountain of any island off Peninsular Malaysia's coast and will push even the most hard-core hikers and rock-climbers to the limit of their ability.
The crystal-clear waters surrounding Tioman are brimming with corals of all shapes, colors and sizes. Its spectacular marine habitats offer a vast diversity of sea creatures, including whale sharks, dolphins, manta ray, marine turtles and countless species of exotic fish that put on a round-the-clock performance for snorkelers and scuba-divers, alike.
Blessed with miles and miles of palm-fringed paradise beaches, Tioman once rightly claimed the "One of World's Most Beautiful Islands" award, bestowed upon it by none other than Time Magazine. Knowing this, it's not surprising to hear that there are several grade A beaches on Tioman, so swimmers and sun-worshipers, too, will thoroughly enjoy their stay here.
In fact, Tioman has numerous R&R options for each kind of holiday reveler, from families with small children to honeymooners, backpackers, adventurers, as well as Biologists and nature-lovers.
Even golfers, duty-free shoppers and those looking for a well-earned weekend of exclusive and luxurious pampering will find what they're looking for on Tioman's private little beach cove resorts. In spades.

Tip: Tioman is a beautiful, exotic, yet affordable holiday destination, a short hop away from Kuala Lumpur and Singapore.
